Garage Sale Memorial Weekend 2016

We're finally having a garage sale and most of the stuff is in the garage so even if it rains, we'll be out there.

When:  May 28th (Saturday) to May 30th (Monday)
Time:   10am-4pm

Where:  5854 Eagleson Road, Gladwin, Michigan
(West of town, between Bard Road and Clarwin,
               2 miles north of 61)

Lots of cool stuff including a Canadian Production Wheel.
This kind of spinning wheel was made in Quebec in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, with its main features being a large drive wheel, iron fittings and a tilt-tensioning system.  This wheel works but is an antique and only has one bobbin.  Sold as is - cash only $350.

We also will have lots of handspun yarns, rovings for spinning, felting or quilting, drop spindles and other craft supplies and books.

The knitted hat is just for show as an example of my handspun yarn.

Next up is farm and horse related items.

We have a (never worn) pair of western chaps and a never used western saddle, an english saddle with leathers and irons but no cinch.  Bridles, bits and other tack, 2 Morgan Horse size winter blankets, a calf blanket and a bunch of vintage Morgan Horse magazines.  We also have free BonAppetit and Cuisine magazines.

We have some used 24x24 rabbit cages as well as a lot of legs for stacking the cages.

We have an amish-made Horse Stock for sale, which we planned on using if our part-percheron horse gave the farrier any grief.  We ended up finding a great farrier that the horse trusts, so we have no further need for this stock.  Asking $500 .

Now let's get to some more fun stuff.

Are you interested in a 55 gal aquarium with light and stand and all kinds of aquarium decorations?  Asking $120.

Or how about

An electronic deer corn feeder, Turkey Blind, Paint Sprayer, Antique Hay Tongs, two weight lifting sets, old golf clubs.

A Kenmore Heavy Duty Super Capacity Plus Gas Dryer $50

Queen size small pine cannonball bed frame $30

Old Queen Anne chairs which need refinishing, asking $10 each.

35mm camera accessories including Cokin filters $20 for all.

Old LP's, DVDs, VHS and cassette tapes, old Windows software games.

Board Games, stuff toys, old Avon and other perfume bottles

Lots of books and magazines, all kinds of books, including fiction, business, computers, exercise, knitting, needlecrafts, basket weaving, cookbooks.

Women's Size 12-16 vintage Vogue, McCall, Butterick unused sewing patterns $1 each.

Milk Glass Pitcher with 8 tumblers $60 for the set.

Lots of glassware, framed pictures, candle holders, silverplate items, and lots of nik naks.

How about an old Wok with accessories, electric fondue set, electric deep fryer and electric frying pan.

Picture From April 13, 2013

The Ice Age cometh?  This picture is from April 13, 2013.  I don't think any of us can take another 6 weeks of snow this year!

It's been a long, cold winter

This picture is from December 4, 2013 which is the last time we saw any grass!
